Watamula Hole, Curacao
Blog Post - November 8, 2022
Watamula Hole is located on the north end of Curacao.
You have to drive dirt roads to get there, but the parking is free.
This huge blowhole is amazing to watch and you can walk the coast seeing multiple blowholes, crashing waves, and beautiful turquoise water.
We went right after it rained, so the dirt roads had a lot of puddles and mud, but we made it fine.
We rented a 4x4 vehicle, but we saw a lot of 2 wheel drive cars make it too.
This is what the dirt roads looked like:
As we pulled up to the parking lot, there is a sign showing that it is Watamula Hole. We parked and followed the trail over to explore Watamula Hole.
As you get close to Watamula Hole, you will be walking on a rocky terrain. We wore flip flops, but hiking shoes would have worked better for this terrain.
We also walked up the coast to check out the other smaller blow holes and crashing waves.
Overall, we loved Watamula Hole and would highly recommend going on your next trip to Curacao.

CHECKLIST:
These are the checklist items I recommend:
- Bring a hat to keep the sun off of your face.
- Bring sunscreen
- Wear good hiking shoes.
- You don't need a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but it made it easier for us on the muddy roads. There were plenty of 2-wheel drive cars that made it fine.
