Tropic of CancerĀ Beach,Ā Little Exuma, Bahamas
Blog Post - June 8, 2023
Tropic of Cancer Beach is a beautiful beach located on Little Exuma Island.
This beach is really long and gives you a lot of space to spread out.
We loved the snorkeling on the north end of the beach.
The parking is free and is located on the southern end of the beach.
We took the Queen's Highway from Great Exuma, crossed the 1-lane bridge, and then made a left hand turn onto a dirt road to go to the Tropic of Cancer Beach.
Below you will see a map of where we turned off of the Queens Highway onto the dirt road. You will also see a sign for the Tropic of Cancer Beach, which will help you know you're going the right way. We used Google maps to get us there and that worked great.
As we pulled up there is a parking area by a covered pavilion.
You'll walk through the pavilion and that leads you to the beach.
When you get out to the beach you can explore a little to the right, but the longest part of the beach is to your left. We walked the entire beach to a big rocky area and did some snorkeling.
Note: the beach beyond the rocky area has a sign showing that it is private property.
As we walked along the beach the sand is really soft and the water is crystal clear.
As we got toward the end of the beach, you can see this large outcropping of rocks. This is where we went snorkeling.
Overall, we loved this beach. It was definitely one of our favorites. We would highly recommend it on your next trip to Little Exuma Island.
