Three Mary Cays, North Caicos, Turks and Caicos Islands
Blog Post - June 12, 2024
Three Mary Cays is a remote beach, but worth the adventure to get there.
It's located on the north end of North Caicos in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
We were driving along a paved road and then made a left onto a one lane dirt road.
We followed this narrow 1-lane road up to the lake. Then the road goes right along the lake. We were in a Jeep so we were able to get through some wet areas. I wouldn't go this way if it has just rained as the lake goes right up to the road.
As we went around the lake, we got to an intersection with a Three Mary Cays sign. We turned right and headed toward the beach.
There is another way to get to Three Mary Cays that is a longer drive, but the dirt road is much wider and is farther away from the lake. We would recommend taking this way as you are less likely to get stuck.
As we got close to the beach, we passed a white house and then made a right hand turn onto the final road to Three Mary Cays.
We parked and walked out onto the beach. The views were absolutely amazing!
There was a nice opening between the rocks to get into the water. We brought our own snorkel gear so we got in and snorkeled around the first two closest islands. The third island looks close, but is actually pretty far out.
As we got into the water, there was a small shipwreck that we explored.
Then we snorkeled over by the first two islands.
After snorkeling, we got out and explored the beach.
Overall, we had a great time at Three Mary Cays. We would definitely go back!
