Sunset Beach Park

Sunset Beach Park is a beautiful beach located on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

This is a large beach with soft sand and crystal clear water.

During the winter it has huge waves for surfing and in the summer is great for swimming and snorkeling.

Sunset Beach Park has free street side parking and a large parking lot across the street from the beach. This large parking lot has free public bathrooms and showers.

From the public parking lot, we followed the sidewalk up to the crosswalk. We crossed the street and headed to the beach.

When you get to the beach you'll notice that most of the big swells are to the right and that's where you'll see the surfers

The surfers have to go way out for the swells, so if you want to watch them you should bring some binoculars.

The left side of the beach had much calmer water.

This is the view looking back at the entire beach.

Overall, we had a great time at Sunset Beach Park. We definitely want to come back in the summer to go snorkeling and swimming here.

These are the checklist items I recommend:

• Bring your own towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas.
• Bring Binoculars to watch the surfers.
• Bring some drinks and snacks.
• Bring reef safe sunscreen.
• If you go in the summer, bring your own snorkeling gear.
• Don't leave anything in your car.
