Blog Post - November 13, 2021
Shipwreck Beach is located on the south side of Kauai.
It's located in front of the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
You'll find parking along the street and a two parking lots.
As you walk towards the beach you'll see a beautiful grassy area and public bathrooms.
When you walk out onto the beach you can see some cliffs to the left and a long stretch of beach to the right.
There is a trail that you can take up to the cliffs and it also takes you to the Mahaulepu Heritage Trail.
This is what the roadside parking and parking lot look like:

As we walked the beach, these are the views we had.
There is a trail that takes you to the top of the cliffs.
As we got to the top of the trail, we went to the right to the cliff area. There is a big warning sign about the dangers of cliff jumping and standing on the edge of the cliff. Even with that warning, there were a lot of people cliff jumping. This is what it looked like.
This is the view from the cliffs overlooking Shipwreck Beach.
Overall, we went to Shipwreck Beach on an overcast day and it wa still beautiful. We would highly recommend this beach on your next trip to Kauai.
