Shete Boka National Park, Curacao
Blog Post - November 15, 2022
Shete Boka National Park is located on the north end of Curacao.
It has blowholes that shoot water high into the air, beautiful inlets with small beaches and crashing waves, and a trail system that you can hike or dirt roads that you can drive.
This rocky terrain is a must see while in Curacao!
You'll see this sign as you turn onto the road where the ticket office is located:
As you pull up to the gate, you will see a building on the right where you will pay your entrance fee to Shete Boka National Park.
As we entered the park we paid the entrance fee.
It was $17.50 per person in Gilders plus $1 for a map of the park.
They allowed us to pay in US Dollars. It came to $21 for two people plus the map.
This is what the map looks like. You can see that it has a circle in the middle that shows where you are as you enter the park.
Most people head to Boka Tabla since it is the closest to the entrance, but since it already looked crowded, we headed over to Boka Pistol first.
This is what the main parking lot looks like. We took a right to head to Boka Pistol.
When you see the turnoff for Boka Kalki, make sure you keep going straight. You'll then see a stone sign for Boka Pistol. Just follow the road till you get to the parking lot.
When you pull up to Boka Pistol, there is a dirt parking lot and a path to a covered pavilion. You can watch the water hit into a small hole that shoots the water high into the air. We loved this one!
After exploring and watching Boka Pistol, we got back in our car and headed to Boka Kalki.
At Boka Kalki, they have a nice big parking area. You will follow a trail through some rocks and trees to get there.
As you come out from the trail, you come to a small beach area.
After we finished exploring Boka Kalki, we got back in our car and drove to Boka Wandomi and the Natural Bridge.
This is the view as you pull up into the parking lot. There is a large rock with signs pointing the way to Boka Wandomi and the Natural Bridge. We followed the signs to the trail and headed out.
As we were walking along the trail, we saw that there was a staircase that goes down into the inlet and another on the other side. This is how you can get over to the Natural Bridge.
These are some of the views of Boka Wandomi and the Natural Bridge.
After we were done exploring Boka Wandomi and the Natural Bridge, we got back in our car to head over to our last stop, which is Boka Tabla and the cave.
We parked at the main parking lot and walked over to the trail. We took the lower trail, which leads to the cave.
The entrance to the cave is right by a wood deck overlook area.
The entrance to the cave is narrow and the steps can be really slippery so take your time going down. The view in the cave was awesome!
After exploring the cave, we explored the rest of Boka Tabla. This is what it looks like.
After exploring Boka Tabla, we were heading back to the parking lot when we saw these wild goats grazing.
We then headed back to the parking lot as we finished our self-guided tour of the Shete Boka National Park.
Overall, we had a great time at Shete Boka National Park. We spent a lot more time there than we thought we would, but it was totally worth it. We highly recommend going to Shete Boka National Park on your next visit to Curacao.

CHECKLIST:
These are the checklist items I recommend:
- Bring a hat to keep the sun off of your face.
- Bring sunscreen
- Wear good hiking shoes.
- You don't need a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but it made it easier for us on the muddy roads. There were plenty of 2-wheel drive cars that made it fine.
