Sapodilla Bay Beach is a beautiful beach located on the south side of Providenciales on the Turks and Caicos Islands.

We were excited to go to this beach to go snorkeling to a shipwreck and enjoy the crystal clear water.

You can see on the map below that the beach is located on the south side of the island.

There is a public parking area on the east side of the beach. We chose this side to park because it was closer to the shipwreck for snorkeling.

This is what the dirt parking area looks like:

From the parking lot, we walked toward the villas. There is a sandy trail on the side of the villas that takes you directly to Sapodilla Bay Beach.

At the end of the trail you walk out onto this beautiful beach. This is what the soft sand and turquoise water looked like:

On the far side of the beach we found that you could rent a jet ski, beach chairs and umbrellas, and they had food trucks. This was definitely the more crowded side of the beach.

You can also park on the side of the street or across the street in a dirt parking lot. When we visited this parking area itwas packed and seemed like the more popular option.

We then decided to put on our snorkel gear and start swimming out to the shipwreck.

This is a longer swim, so if you're not experienced I wouldn't recommend swimming out. You could rent a jet ski and drive out to it instead.

We swam past the dock, around the rocks and then to the shipwreck. It took us about 20 minutes swimming to get there. We did have on our fins and snorkel gear. This maps shows you where the shipwreck is located.

The water around the shipwreck wasn't crystal clear on the day we went, but we could still see enough to explore. This is what it looked like:

After snorkeling we headed back. It took us about 20 minutes to get back to the beach. The nice part is that the bay is really shallow, so if you get tired of swimming, you can walk the last part because it is so shallow.

We spent the rest of our time relaxing on this beautiful beach.

Overall, we loved this beach because it has something for everyone. If you love the party atmosphere, you can find that by the food trucks. If you like the peaceful atmosphere you will find that where we came in. If you love snorkeling, there is the shipwreck. We would highly recommend visiting this beach on your next trip to Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
