Sandy Point Landing, North Caicos,Ā Turks and Caicos Islands
Blog Post -Ā June 12, 2024
Sandy Point Landing is a beautiful beach and sandbar located on the northwest side of North Caicos in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
As we got closer to the beach the paved road turned into a bumpy dirt road. We drove a Jeep and had no problems since we had high clearance, but we saw lots of smaller cars driving on the dirt roads too. They just had to drive a little slower to avoid the potholes and bumps.
As we arrived at Sandy Point Landing we found a large parking area that was free. We parked and got out to start exploring this beach.
Here is an aerial view of the parking area and building.
The building on Google Maps says Celebrity Chef Restaurant, but it wasn't open while we were there.
As we walked out there was a mixture of really shallow water and then water deep enough to swim in. The water was clear, but we didn't see any fish.
This is what Sandy Point Landing looked like as we explored, swam, and soaked in the sushine.
The island on the left side of this view is called ParrotĀ Cay. This is a private island with a resort and private residences.
These aerial views of Sandy Point Landing show how beautiful the contrasting water to white sand are.
Clouds were coming in and out of the area, which really showed us the difference in colors.
We had a great time here and would definitely go again.
