Sand Dollar Beach, South Stocking Island, Exumas, Bahamas
Blog Post - June 12, 2023
Sand Dollar Beach is located on the southern end of Stocking Island in the Exumas, Bahamas.
You can't drive there from Great Exuma, so we rented a boat from Minn's Watersports to get there.
We explored the whole southern tip of Stocking Island. We found lots of sand dollars.
Our favorite beach was on the very southern tip of stocking island.
To get our boat, we went to George Town at Elizabeth Harbor to Minn's Water Sports. You can see what it looks like below
After checking in, we went down to the boat slips to get in our boat and head out. From Elizabeth Harbor you go through a small tunnel to get out to the ocean.
Once you get out of the harbor, you can go almost straight across and then to the south. We explored the whole southern end of the island:
As we got close to Sand Dollar Beach, we noticed that the water was really shallow, so we decided to anchor and look for sand dollars.
We found sand dollars all over the ocean floor.
We then headed south to the southern tip of Stocking Island. We weren't sure if this is still considered Sand Dollar Beach, but it was definitely one of our favorite spots.
This felt like a day in paradise. We had the beach all to ourselves. We would highly recommend this on your next trip to Stocking Island in the Exumas.
