Pounder's Beach

Pounder's Beach is located on the east side of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

It has super soft sand, turquoise water, and a tree line that offers shade.

There is also a cliffside trail that you can take to watch the waves.

When you pull up you'll find a free parking lot and showers to rinse off after a fun day in the water.

On the south side or right side of the beach is a trail system that goes along the cliff face. This allows you to watch the waves pound against the rocks.

The day that we went the waves were bigger and it was fun to watch the boogie boarders ride these waves. We didn't do any snorkeling here as it was too rough.

We decided to explore and walk down to the other side of the beach where the river meets the ocean.

As we were exploring we saw some little crabs in the sand.

Overall, we had an amazing time at Pounder's Beach. We would definitely go again. We want to go back in the summer time to see if this location has any good snorkeling when the water is calm.

These are the checklist items I recommend:

• Bring your own towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas.
• Bring some drinks and snacks.
• Bring reef safe sunscreen.
• Bring your own Boogie Board if you're a good swimmer and comfortable with bigger waves.
• Don't leave anything in your car.
