PoloĀ Beach (West Side)
Blog Post - Nov 7, 2024
Polo Beach is a beautiful beach on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
It's located on the northwest side of Oahu.
There is free parking on the side of the street and a trail entrance that takes you to Polo Beach.
I've split Polo Beach into two sides. You have the east side and the west side.
The east side is unofficially the clothing optional side.
The west side is the normal beach and even has horseback rides you can take along the beach.
This is what the free street side parking and trail entrance look like for Polo Beach.
Don't leave anything in your car. We did at one beach for only 10 minutes and our Jeep was broken into and my snorkeling gear was stolen.
At the trail entrance you'll know you're at the right place when you see the yellow sign with 256 A. When you get close you can read that it says "Emergency Response Location 256 A".Ā
The trail to Polo Beach is about 0.18 Miles long.
Along the way we could see horses in the fields next door.
As you come to the end of the trail, to the right is the east side of the beach and to the left is the west side of the beach.
We went left to the west side of the beach to explore and go swimming.
This is what it looked like as we walked down the west side of Polo Beach.
As we were walking along the beach we saw people riding horses. What a cool place to go horseback riding.
We found that Polo Beach has some area with rocks and coral and other areas that are more sandy and easier to get into the water. We found one of these places and layed out and went swimming in the shallow area.
Overall, we had an amazing time at Polo Beach. TheĀ farther we walked the fewer people we saw. It felt like we had the beach all to ourselves. We would definitely go back to Polo Beach.
