Playa Shon Mosa, Curacao
Blog Post - November 12, 2022
Playa Shon Mossa, Curacao is a remote beach with great snorkeling, SCUBA diving, and swimming.
It's only accessible by dirt roads.
There is a $6 US dollar fee to access these roads.
We drove a 4-wheel drive vehicle and would recommend that to access this beach.
We turned off the main road and headed toward the gate, which was open and had a sign with the hours.
There's a sign that shows the hours they are open and how much it costs.
They are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.
The entrance price is $10 Gilders or $6 US Dollars.
From there, we followed the dirt road to a forest area. It looks like a tunnel through the forest.
As we came out of the forest, you come to a residential property with a concrete wall and an entrance to drive in. You drive up to the top and that's where you will pay to get in.
After we paid the $6 US dollars, we turned right and headed past the house. Then the road veers to the left and goes uphill. You can see on the map where we are headed.
You're going to come to a fork in the road. You are going to go straight. You will see a sign pointing to the right for Playa Manzalina. Don't turn, go straight.
After following the dirt road for a while, you will come to another fork in the road. You will see a sign pointing to the right for Playa Shon Mosa. Turn right and follow that dirt road to the beach.
As you pull up to the beach you can park on either side of the dirt road.
It had been raining on our way in and then the sun came out. These are some aerial views of Playa Shon Mosa:
From this view, you can see Playa Shon Mosa, Playa Manzalina, and Playa Chiki Hundu.
These are closer views of Playa Shon Mosa.
We saw a lot of SCUBA divers heading out. This water is so clear! It's great for swimming and snorkeling too. We loved this beach and would highly recommend it.
