Playa Porto Mari is located on the northwest side of Curacao.

This beautiful beach has amazing snorkeling, crystal clear water, and a delicious restaurant.

This beach is also spelled Playa Porto Marie on Google Maps, but the Website and actual beach spell Mari without the e.

This was one of the longest beaches we visited and it had soft sand for most of it.

When you turn in, you'll go through a gated entrance (the gate is open during the day) and drive the long road to the beach. This is what the gated entrance looks like:

You can see on the sign that it costs $3 dollars per person, but you pay at the beach. The beach is open from 9:30am to 6:30pm.

Once you go through the gate, you're going to drive a long narrow road to get to the beach. You can see it on the map below:

As you get close to the beach, you are going to come to another gate. At the gate, you'll push the green button to open the gate. You don't get a ticket, you just drive in and park.

Then you'll drive around the roundabout and take your first exit. This takes you to the beach entrance. You'll go past it to the parking lot.

In the parking lot is a lookout tower. We climbed up to get a beautiful view of the beach. It has just rained and the dark clouds were clearing out.

Then we walked over to the beach. As you walk in there is a shop on the left and the dive shop on the right.

Then you'll see a sign pointing to all the different places. We loved the restaurant at Playa Porto Mari. Next to the restaurant are bathrooms and lockers.

As you walk into the restaurant, you'll see this menu. We loved the barbeque chicken with fries.

After eating, we walked in more and found the booth where you pay to go to the beach. It was $3 dollars per person. They gave us these receipts.

After paying we decided to explore the beach. There is a long pier. The rain clouds were still clearing out, but it created an amazing view.

We walked the entire beach. Then we went to the south side of the beach by an old boat and got into the water there to do some snorkeling.

As we snorkelled away from the south side heading north, there is a large floating platform that you take a break and enjoy the views. After hanging out there we kept on snorkelling.

After snorkelling, we got out and laid out our towels and soaked up the sun.

We loved this beach and would highly recommend it on your next trip to Curacao.

Note: We had heard this is also called Pig Beach, but we didn't see any pigs while we were there.
