Playa Forti, Curacao
Blog Post - November 11, 2022
We got to go snorkeling at Playa Forti on the northwest side of Curacao.
This beach has a free parking lot at a restaurant that overlooks the beach.
This beach is mostly coral, but the water is crystal clear.
We headed to the far end to snorkel in a cove protected by large rocks.
There is also a cliff jumping spot at the restaurant.
The parking lot is unpaved and this is what it looks like:
From the parking lot, you'll walk over to the stairs. You'll see the Playa Forti sign by the stairs. The stairs will take you down to the beach.
When you get down to the beach, you'll see that it is a mixture of dark sand and coral.
We saw lots of iguanas. This one let me get really close.
There was a cove protected by big rocks at the end of the beach, so we started walking down so we could go snorkeling there.
We brought our own snorkel gear and got into the water. We saw some really cool fish.
After snorkeling, we headed back to the entrance of the beach.
We noticed that the restaurant has an area where you can cliff jump. We saw a lot of people look, but no brave soul to take the leap.
Overall, we enjoyed our time at Playa Forti.
