Platico Point has two beaches to explore.

You can walk from one beach around the point and to the other beach or you can drive the small sandy dirt road.

We snorkeled at the far beach & explored the abandoned cargo port.

Platico Point is located in the Middle Caicos on the Turks and Caicos Islands.

We turned off the main dirt road to a smaller sandy/dirt road.

There is a parking area by the old abandoned cargo port.

You can also keep driving to the other side of Platico Point.

That's where we decided to explore first.

You can see that the parking area is really small.

We got out of the Jeep and started exploring the beach.

We got in the water and did some snorkeling too.

After snorkeling and swimming, we got out of the water and got back in the Jeep to head over to the other side of Platico Point.

Overall, we had a great time at both beaches at Platico Point.

You definitely want to drive a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get here, but it's definitely worth it.

These are the checklist items I recommend:

• Bring your own snorkeling gear.
• Bring your own snacks and drinks.
• Wear reef safe sunscreen.
• You'll be driving on sandy/dirt roads. You definitely want a vehicle with 4-wheel drive.
