Palauea Beach is also known as White Rock Beach. This beautiful beach is located on the south side of Maui.
When you get there, you will find free street side parking. After parking, you will take a short trail to the beach.
We had heard that there was good snorkeling on the north end and south end by the rocks. When we got in the water was a little murky in comparison with other beaches we had snorkeled. We still loved it, but didn't know if some days might be clearer than others.
We walked the small beach and loved how soft the sand is.
We loved that it wasn't crowded and it's a great beach to hang out and relax.
This is what the street side parking looked like:

We went snorkeling, but the water wasn't very clear.

We got out and headed back to the southern end to do some snorkeling down there too.
Overall, this beach was amazing. Even though the snorkeling conditions weren't crystal clear, the beach was mostly empty and great for relaxing! We would highly recommend visiting this beach if you are in southern Maui.
