Marazul Dive Resort, Unit 15A, Westpunt, Curacao
Blog Post - November 7, 2022
The Marazul Dive Resort is a gated resort located on the northwest side of Curacao in the small town of Westpunt.
It’s about a 45 minute drive from the airport.
We rented a beautiful unit, Unit 15A, through VRBO.com in this gated resort community.
The Marazul Dive Resort has two staircases that go from the cliff down directly down to the crystal clear water for snorkeling or diving.
There is also a community pool and pavilion.
In this blog post I'm going to take you on a tour of this resort and Unit 15A.
This is an aerial view of the resort from the water.
You can see the staircase going down the cliff to the water.
We rented Unit 15A because it was close to the stairs down to the water.
When you first drive into the resort it is a paved road, but to get to our unit you have to take an unpaved road.
We loved that they had a nice community swimming pool. After a long day at the beach it was nice to relax in the pool in the evening time.
If you walk to the other side of the resort there is another staircase that goes down to the water.
The resort felt safe as it has a gated entrance and security on site.
To get in the gated entrance, there is a keypad.
Even though the unpaved road got muddy, we never had any problems getting in or out.
This is what our unit looked like.
This is the rear view of our unit. We had a patio and balcony.
We went down to the stairs and decided to do some snorkeling.
Once we got into the water, we decided to snorkel along the cliff to the other staircase and back. This is what it looked like.
After snorkeling, we got out and walked down to the other end. You can see the pavilion.
This is the view of the pool area.
We walked past the pool to the other staircase that goes down to the water. This is what it looks like.
Then we walked back to our unit. Next, we are going to show you the inside of Unit 15A.
When you first walk in you will see the bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower.
Once you walk past the bathroom, you will see the kitchen, dining area, and living room.
In the corner of the kitchen is a switch for the hot water. Make sure this is turned on or you will be taking cold showers. We learned this the hard way.
This is the view of the dining area and living room.
Next, we will go upstairs to the bedroom, closet, bathroom, and balcony.
This is the view of the balcony. We loved watching the sunsets each evening.
Overall, this was a beautiful resort to stay it with direct access to great snorkeling. It is away from the city so it is really quite. We would highly recommend staying at the Marazul Dive Resort on your next trip to Curacao.

CHECKLIST:
These are the checklist items I recommend:
- Bring a hat to keep the sun off of your face.
- Bring sunscreen
- Snorkeling Gear.
- They provided us with beach towels, so we didn't have to bring those.
- We rented a 4 wheel drive vehicle so we could travel to the beaches on dirt roads. We saw a lot of little cars that were not 4-wheel drive make it, but we felt more comfortable with it. We rented a Toyota Rush SUV.
