Malcolm's Road Beach, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands
Blog Post -Ā June 21, 2024
Malcolm's Road Beach is a remote beach located on the west side of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
To get to Malcolm's Road BeachĀ you have to take dirt roads, so I'd highly recommend driving a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
When you get to the red and white towers, veer to the left and drive to the gate that will take you to the beach.
We drove the dirt road all the way to the end and found that the parking area was paved.
We parked in the front and as we were walking toward the pavilion, we saw this sign that had the open and close times. "Malcolm Beach Gate is Opened at Sunrise and Closed at Sunset. Should You Need Access, Please Call Amanyara Security on +1649941-8133 EXT 3165."
As we walked into the pavilion we saw a sign that showed where to snorkel and what types of marine life and coral to expect.
As we walked past the pavilion, there's a deck with stairs that go down to the beach. This is the view from the deck.
This is the view looking north of Malcolm's Road Beach.
This is the view looking south of Malcolm's Road Beach.
As we walked south along the beach we noticed a really cool project.
There are a lot of large concrete artificial reef balls that have been placed in the ocean right off the shore.
These are designedĀ to grow new coral, shelter fish, andĀ reduce beach erosion.
We then got into the water and started to snorkel. This is what we saw:
After snorkeling, we walked down to the southern end of the beach. This is where the Amanyara Resort is located.
Overall, we had a great time at Malcolm's Road Beach. We had the beach all to ourselves and we had a great time snorkeling here. We would highly recommend visiting this beach on your next trip to Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
