Makua Beach is a beautiful beach located on the west side of Oahu.

This beach has great snorkeling on calm days and has a long stretch of sand so there is plenty of room to spread out.

This is where the beach is located.

We drove to the north end of Makua Beach as we heard that there was good snorkeling on that end of the beach.

On the day that we went it wasn't crowded. We parked for free on the streetside section for parking. Don't leave anything in your car as theft is really common on this side of the island. There are even signs warning you not to leave anything in your car.

After parking we walked over to the entrance and took the short trail to the beach. These trees drove long needles to the ground so make sure you wear flip flops or shoes. You don't want to walk under the trees barefoot.

We laid out our towels and got in the water to do some snorkeling.

After snorkeling, we got out and laid out for a little bit. Then we decided to explore the beach heading south.

Overall, we had a great time at Makua Beach. The water was calm on the day that we went and was great for snorkeling. We also loved how long this beach is and it was great for exploring and taking in the amazing views. We would definitely go back.
