Leeward Beach, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands
Blog Post - June 18, 2024
Leeward Beach is a beautiful beach on the northeast side of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
This beach has soft sand, has rock jetty's that you can snorkel, and a long stretch of beach to spread out and feel like you have it all to yourself.
On your way there you will go from a paved street to a dirt road.
You'll follow it to the end and that's where Leeward Beach is located.
There is free parking on the side of the road.
As we walked up to the beach there is a "Welcome to Leeward Beach" sign.
It also says that it has access to Sunset Beach. We couldn't find Sunset Beach on Google Maps so we weren't sure which way it was located.
As we walked out onto the beach we were blown away with how turquoise the water was. There's a rock jetty straight ahead. That's where we went snorkeling.
These are some of the views looking in both directions.
We got into the water and snorkeled around the rock jetty. We found the best snorkeling to be on the side that faces the open ocean. The water was clearer there too. This is what it looked like.
After snorkeling we got out and decided to walk down to the southern end of the beach. There was hardly anyone there and it felt like we had this section of the beach all to ourselves.
After walking down we turned around and headed back. These are the views heading north to the entrance of the beach.
Overall, we loved this beach and would highly recommend visiting on your next trip to Providenciales.
