La'ie Point State Wayside
Blog Post - Nov 13, 2024
La'ie Point State Wayside is located on the east side of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
This is a beautiful overlook is a peninsula that you can walk out on and watch the waves crash against it and the surrounding small islands.
The map below shows you where it is located on Oahu.
At the end of the road there is a culdesac with free parking.
We walked over to the left side first. We saw a sign that shows where you are and the surrounding islands.Ā
It also explains that this area used to be used for the military and if you find any unexploded ordinance to call 911. We didn't see anything, but that was a little crazy to see that sign.
We then walked over to the right side and that's where you can walk down the peninsula and watch the waves crash against the rocks.
Always use caution and respect the ocean. If the waves are too big, don't walk out on the peninsula.
Overall, we had a great time exploring and watching the crashing waves at the La'ie Point State Wayside. We would definitely go back.
