Kualoa Regional Park and the China Man Hat Island are located on the east side of Oahu, Hawaii.

This regional park has a beautiful beach, lots of grass for camping, public bathrooms, public parking, and life guards.

Just off shore is the small island known as the China Man Hat Island. The real name is Mokoli'i Island.

This is where it's located on the map.

As we entered the park there is a lot of parking.Ā

If you are going to kayak out to the China Man Hat Island, you'll want to go to the southern parking lot as it is the closest to the island.

This is a really long beach with a beautiful grassy area, camping spots, and public bathrooms.

At the southern end, there is a wall that has been built in the ocean to protect this area from big waves.

In the background you can see the majestic mountains they used to film parts of Jurassic Park.

You can see on the map below that the China Man Hat Island is really close to the Kualoa Regional Park.

As we walked out to the beach we were expecting to find some vendors who you could rent a kayak from. There were no kayak rentals here. You have to bring your own or rent it from somewhere and bring it here yourself. This was disappointing, but I decided to fly my drone over to the island to do some exploring so we would know what to expect when we come back another time with our own kayak.

We saw that everyone just brings there kayak or paddle board up onto the shore so it doesn't float away.

You can see that the trail to hike to the top is really steep. You definitely want some good water shoes or even some hiking shoes.

We decided to get into the water to do some snorkeling, but on the day we were there the water visibility was really low. Even though we couldn't see much, the water felt so good to cool off and take in these amazing views.

Overall, we had a great time exploring and hanging out at the Kualoa Regional Park. Next time we are definitely going to rent and bring our own kayak to go out to the island.
