Kohanaiki Beach Park is a beautiful beach located on the west side of the Big Island of Hawaii.

There is a paved 1-lane road to the beach with plenty of parking.

This beach has a lot of rocks and tide pools to explore.

This map below shows you where the beach is located on the Big Island of Hawaii.

As you drive in, you'll see the gate sign that the gate opens at 5:30pm and closes at 9:00pm.

You'll drive this long road with speed bumps until you get to a roundabout.

When you get to the roundabout, you'll go straight. The parking lot to the right is for O'oma Beach. You'll go straight through and follow the one lane road to the parking lot. There are lots of places to pull to the side if another car is coming the other direction.

The parking lot is free. We found an open space and parked and then walked to the beach.

Then we explored this beach. This beach is really rocky and has a lot of tide pools. We didn't go snorkeling at this beach, but we still loved it.

Overall, we loved this beach. It wasn't crowded an it had a beauty all its own.
