The Ko Olina Resort Lagoons are 4 beautiful lagoons on the southwest side of Oahu, Hawaii.

3 of the lagoons have resorts, but Lagoon 4 doesn't.

All 4 of the lagoons are public.

It has great snorkeling as each lagoon opens to the ocean.

There is free parking and public bathrooms.

There is also a trail system that connects all of the lagoons.

We went to Lagoon 4 first as there is no resort there and then explored the other 3 lagoons.

This is where it is located on Oahu.

As we were driving in to Ko Olina, there is a guard shack. You don't have to stop to drive in, but this shack has an electric sign that shows the available parking spaces for each of the lagoons.

We were excited to see that there were still 25 parking spaces at Lagoon 4 on the day that we went.

We drove down to the free parking lot for Lagoon 4.

At the end of the road there is a culdesac. If you go to the left side that is the paid parking lot for the marina. If you go to the right, that is the free parking lot for Lagoon 4.

We turned right into the free parking lot. We drove in and found a parking space.

After parking we took the trail over to the beach.

Even though these lagoons are man made, they open up to the ocean so they have a lot of fish in them, which is great for snorkeling.

The lagoons are open to the public from sunrise to sunset. There are no lifeguards at any of the lagoons.

They have public bathrooms at each one of the lagoons. This is the free bathroom at Lagoon 4.

We laid out our towels and got in the water to start snorkeling. I wasn't expecting much in this lagoon, but there were a lot of fish here.

We had a great time snorkeling. Then we got out and laid out on our towels and let the warm sun dry us off.

After hanging out at Lagoon 4, we decided to explore the other 3 lagoons. There is a trail system that connects all of them.

We walked the paved trail from Lagoon 4 to Lagoon 3. Lagoon 3 has the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club. The lagoon is still public, but the beach chairs and umbrellas are for the Marriott guests.

After exploring Lagoon 2, we took the trail to Lagoon 1. Lagoon 1 has two different resorts. It has the Aulani Disney Resort and Spa and The Four Seasons Resort at Ko Olina. Lagoon 1 is open to the public, but the resort amenities are only for the resort guests.

After exploring all 4 lagoons, we called it a day and headed back to Lagoon 4 to where we parked.

Overall, we had a great time here and loved snorkeling here. We would definitely go back again.
