Halona Beach Cove is a small little beach that you have to hike a dirt trail to get to, but is totally worth it.Ā There is also a cave you can explore.

It is located on the southeast side of Oahu, Hawaii.

This is where the beach is located.

There is very limited parking for this beach. The parking is located at the Halona Blowhole Lookout Parking lot. A lot of people come to this parking lot just to see the view and then leave. We got lucky and found a parking space as we first drove in, but when we came back from the beach there were people waiting for our spot.

From the parking lot, we walked over to the dirt trail that goes down into the Halona Beach Cove.

This is a small beach and as we were exploring, we found this cave entrance. It goes all the way through, but it gets really low and the surface is rocky so you would want a flashlight and good shoes if you wanted to explore all the way out. WeĀ only went in the very beginning part of the entrance where it was still light.

After exploring the cave, we decided to get in the water and go swimming. You definitely should use caution depending on the waves, but the day that we went was pretty calm.

After swimming, we laid out and enjoyed these amazing views.

Overall, we had a great time at Halona Beach Cove and would definitely go again. We would love to go back in the summer when the water is even calmer to do some snorkeling.
