Fifth Water Hot SpringsĀ Hike in Diamond Fork Canyon, Springville, Utah
Blog Post - October 7, 2023
We got to hike to the Fifth Water Hot Springs in Diamond Fork Canyon, Springville, Utah.
This is a 4.5 mile out and back hike. There are multiple hot springs and a waterfall at the end.
We went through Spanish Fork Canyon and then turned onto Diamond Fork Rd and followed that up to the trailhead parking lot.Ā
This is an out and back hike that is 4.5 miles long.
You'll start at the parking lot. When you reach a bridge that crosses the river, you're about half way. Then you'll head up the canyon to the hot springs and waterfall.
This is what the parking lot looks like. When we went it was really crowded. If you can't find a space (parking is free), there are some pullouts along the road or you can park about a half mile down the road at the Dry Canyon parking lot.
Right before you turn into the parking lot, you will see a Three Forks Trailhead sign. The next right turn is into the parking lot.
After parking, you will see two bathrooms right before getting onto the trail.
You'll walk through a gate and then you'll see the Fifth Water Hot Springs Sign that has information on one side and a map on the other.
As we started hiking the trail, the Diamond Fork River runs along the right side of the path.
The fall colors were absolutely amazing!
There are a few steep hills on this hike. This one had a rope at the top to make sure you are stable as it has a steep dropoff.
We continued on the trail enjoying the views.
We made it to the bridge, which is about half way.Ā
We crossed the bridge and headed straight on the trail.
We hit this steep hill and just over the hill is where the hot springs start and it leads to the waterfall.
As we explored the hot springs, some were really hot, some were just warm and some were cold.
At the end of the springs is where the waterfall is located.
This was such a beautiful hike and a great place to rest and relax before heading back.
We loved this hike and would highly recommend it!
