Ehukai Beach Park (Banzai Pipeline)

Ehukai Beach Park is a beautiful beach on the North Shore of Oahu that is known for large waves and big surfing competitions.

As you walk out onto the beach you go to the left to see the surfing on the Banzai Pipeline. 

You can see on the map below where it is located on the North Shore.

Ehukai Beach Park has a free parking lot, but it fills up fast. You can also park on the side of the street or go to the Ehukai Pillbox Hiking Parking lot.

This is what the Ehukai Beach Park and parking lot look like.

After we parked, we walked toward the beach through the park. Ehukai Beach Park has lots of picnic tables, bathrooms, and showers.

As we got to the beach, there was a blue sign pointing left to go to the Banzai Pipeline.

We went to the left and this is what it looked like.

We laid out our towels and watched the surfers and body boarders. We would recommend bringing a pair of binoculars to see them better.

After watching the surfers we decided to go for a walk along the beach. The views were amazing.

We didn't go swimming or snorkeling at this beach because the waves and current were too strong. This would be a fun beach to go back and visit in the summer time. Overall, we still had a great time watching the surfers, going for a long walk, and laying out here.

These are the checklist items I recommend:

• Bring your own towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas.
• Bring Binoculars to watch the surfers.
• Bring some drinks and snacks.
• Bring reef safe sunscreen.
• Don't leave anything in your car.
