Blog Post - August 8, 2020

We decided to hike to Donut Falls, which is about 3.5 miles out and back.

To get there, you go up Big Cottonwood Canyon about 9 miles.

We got off at the Mill D Trailhead.

We turned right and headed towards the Jordan Pines picnic area. While driving on this narrow paved road, you will see some private homes on your way to the Donut Falls Trailhead.

As you get closer, the paved road turns to a dirt road.

We got to the trailhead parking lot at around 7:45 AM and took the last parking spot. You can also park on the side of the dirt road or back at the Mill D Trailhead parking lot.

This is a picture of the trailhead parking lot:

ThisĀ is also a bathroom at the trailhead.

As you head up the trail to Donut Falls, you can see the bathroom and trailhead parking lot.

The Donut Falls Trail has one area of rocks you have to climb down on your way to the falls. Here's a pic of the rocks after I climbed down:

When you reach the base of donut falls, you have to climb to the top to see the falls. Here's a pic of Julie andĀ myself at the base of the falls:
