Chalk Sound National Park Viewpoint is a beautiful turquoise lagoon with shallow water and lots of small islands located on the southwest side of Providenciales.

This is the lagoon you see as you fly into the airport.

This is a free overlook that is breathtaking.

Chalk Sound National Park Viewpoint is also located right next to the airport, so this is the lagoon you see as you fly into Providenciales.

As we were pulling up we could only see some green lakes.

We found that you park in the cul-de-sac and then take a short trail to see the turquoise blue water.

As we were walking the trail, we noticed that there is a steep climb up, but it is part of the trail that is on the right side of the trail. This takes you to the viewpoint that you can see out over Chalk Sound.

After taking in the views, we went back down the trail. We kept following the trail out until it stopped. This is what it looked like.

After exploring we headed back to our Jeep and drove the road back looking for other spots to take in the views.

We found the first one as a little pull-off on the road with a short trail.

Then we got back in our Jeep and headed down the road. We found a dirt road that goes to an overlook. We had 4-wheel drive so it wasn't hard for us to reach it. I would recommend 4-wheel drive for this overlook.

Overall, we loved the Chalk Sound National Park Viewpoint. If we had more time, we would have liked to rent kayaks or paddle boards to explore this lagoon. If you only have time to drive it, we highly recommend the Chalk Sound National Park Viewpoint.

• Wear water shoes if you want to get in the water and explore.
• Bring reef safe sunscreen.
• Bring some floats to float around in.
• Bring a pair of binoculors to see the islands.
