Bimini Public Beach by the Cruise Port, North Bimini, Bahamas
Blog Post -Ā July 18, 2024
On our cruise to Bimini in the Bahamas, we got to explore and snorkel at the Bimini Public Beach.
This is the first beach after you get off the ship and cross the bridge.
It has soft sand, beach chair and umbrella rentals, and has great snorkeling under the bridge.
The Bimini Public Beach is located on the west side just above the center of North Bimini.
When we got off of our cruise ship, we walked 0.25 miles to the Bimini Public Beach.
You have the choice of taking the free tram or walking.Ā
We decided to walk to see the beautiful views from the bridge.
When you get to the end of the bridge, you'll make a right to go to the Bimini Public Beach.
As we walked up to the beach we saw that they have food stands here. They open up around lunch time.
They also have public bathrooms and showers.
As we walked out onto the beach, we saw this old boat that had been converted into a food area.
There was a small shack with an attendant who was selling beach chair and umbrella rentals.Ā
Two beach chairs and an umbrella was $60.
One beach chair with an umbrella was $45.
As we walked over to the bridge, there is a sign that says "Absolutely no cruise ship guests allowed beyond this point".
The other side has private residences that use that beach.
We stayed on this side at the Bimini Public Beach.
We layed out our towels and we decided to explore the beach and then get into the water to do some snorkeling.
We did see a few jelly fish, but we were able to swim around them and we didn't get stung.
Overall, we had a great time at the Bimini Public Beach.
We actually stopped there on our way off the cruise ship and we stopped again on our way back at the end of the day.
This was a fun beach to hang out and snorkel.
